Position:Economic Justice Manager
Location : Colombo, Sri Lanka
Contract : National, 01 Year Fixed Term Appointment
Oxfam is looking for an experienced development practitioner to lead the development and delivery of Oxfam’s Economic Justice Program in Sri Lanka. He/she will provide specialised advice across the program in areas of market systems and linkages, value chain, gender equality, programme quality and sustainable livelihoods approaches in rural development. This position has responsibility for all aspects of program management, delivery, monitoring, evaluation, learning and review as well as finance, funding and HR management of the Economic Justice program.
Minimum requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree and postgraduate level qualification in economics, development, agriculture, management or in a relevant discipline.
- Significant demonstrated international experience in managing economic development and sustainable livelihoods programs, with a focus on community based livelihood approaches, value chain and enterprise development in rural setting.
- Experience in agricultural and food security, development, and value chain work in Sri Lanka is a must.
- Exposure to private sector engagement and project work with at least 3 years of policy and management responsibilities.
- Proven track record of leading, motivating, supporting and empowering multi-disciplinary, cross cultural teams, with a commitment to promoting leadership.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in financial budgeting, management and reporting.
- High level interpersonal and influencing skills. with a proven track record of success in representing an organization with, partners, government agencies, private sector organizations, NGOs, media and donors.
- Excellent command of English language and the capacity to communicate effectively, orally and in written formats. Language skills in Sinhala and /or Tamil is desirable.
- Commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims and beliefs, including diversity and equal opportunities and gender equity in all of Oxfam’s work.
